ABOUT THE CLUB:
Visit us on FACEBOOK
Hamburg All-Breed Obedience Club exists to promote the ethical training of dogs and their handlers, to encourage good fellowship among people sharing a common interest in dogs, to support opportunities for the public to become responsible dog owners, and to conduct obedience, agility and herding trials under the rules of the American Kennel Club.
The club consists of members who care about their dogs and wish to enhance their relationship with their canine companions through training classes, educational opportunities, and competition in dog sports and other activities; and who encourage and support others who share their love of dogs. |
Hamburg All Breed Obedience Club was started in the 1970s by Shirley Flood and other dog enthusiasts who wanted a place to train their dogs for competition and to promote responsible pet ownership. The club became licensed by the American Kennel Club and was able to hold AKC events in obedience and later, agility, rally and herding.
HABOC consists of members who have an avid interest in dog training, whether for competition or fun. Our members hold numerous events throughout the year, such as AKC obedience/rally, agility and herding trials, and other fun informational and fund-raising events. The club meets on the second Thursday of January, March, May, July, September & November. For membership information, please contact a Board member . |
